Я думаю, что "Дима Билан" показалось лучше звучащим и запоминающимся из-за некоего созвучия (вроде как скрытая рифма) "има"- "ила".

Но вообще дло вкуса заявителя, т.е. Ю.Айзеншписа, а его теперь не спросишь
